The Need:
A child protection consultancy proposed to develop and implement an innovative accountability program for a major international Non-Governmental Organization. The consultancy needed additional support to work with subject matter experts to develop the curriculum. The project entailed working with stakeholders, collaborating with consultants located in many countries, and creating a first-of-its- kind curriculum and resource kit.
The Work:

We began by cultivating positive relationships across the consultancy and assessing the needs of program areas. We developed a tracking tool for organizing and managing training needs and resources across work areas. We developed training evaluation and measurement tools for use in survey and interview formats. We then collaborated with subject matter experts on the development of several critical resources, including:

  • Multi-level training curriculums
  • Storyboards
  • Guidance documents
  • Handbooks
  • Training Assessment and Evaluation

We employed best practices for adult-learning in an international development context.

The Results:
The accountability program is a success! The initial pilot program has been extended to include further regions, setting the standard for safeguarding in international humanitarian aid.
